This drawing was the beginning of my art journey beginning in the fall of2023. The original was drawn on a postcard in Germany on a train ride from Hamburg to Berlin.
This drawing is named “gentle hand.” The hand is very large, calloused and rough, while the flower is at its perfect bloom. This is to interpret that even the largest most damaged parts can still be gentle and loving, and that no matter who holds this flower it can still flourish in the hands of anyone who lets it. Sometimes it’s the things that are perceived to be the scariest that end up being the best parts of life or any situation.
