Interpretation poem:
As he stares into the smoke of his cigarette,
He reminisces about a night of regret.
As she elegantly strolled-in,
he felt his stomach roll-in.
Like coal under pressure,
the goal was to impress her,
Nerves were running,
Her eyes were stunning,
for she had shaken,
the cunning gentleman that he faked-in,
His silence was not golden,
and she wondered why he didn’t hold them.
He didn’t take the chance,
on that woman who could dance.
And as he stood in nocturne,
watching that light burn,
He realized that his biggest regret,
was dancing in that cigarette
